'PRAYER FOR ISRAEL'

AMEN!

O Lord God, you are very great.  One who keeps covenant and steadfast love.  Let your eyes be opened and your ear attentive to hear the prayer of your humble servant, which I now pray before you day and night.  We and our Father’s house have sinned against you, we have acted corruptly against you and have not kept the commandment which you did command  Moses saying “If you are unfaithful I will scatter you abroad among the nations, but if you return to me and keep my commandments to do them, though your outcasts were in the farthest part of the heaven, yet I will gather them from there and will bring them to the place in which I have chosen to set my name. (Neh. 1: 8,9)

O Lord, listen and hear me as I intercede on behalf of Israel, your chosen generation.  It is a nation before you forever, for you made from one every nation of men to  live on all the face of the earth, having determined allotted periods and the boundaries of their habitation, that they should seek you, in the hope, they might feel after you, but have failed you.  Even so in Exod. 30: 7-14.  After you delivered them from the land of Egypt, they corrupted themselves by worshiping molten calf.   Because of this, you thought of sending your wrath upon them.  But Moses besought you saying “O Lord, why does your wrath burn hot against your people, whom you have brought forth out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand; why should the Egyptians say, “with evil intent did he bring them forth out of the land of Egypt, to slay them in the mountains and consume them from the  face of the earth.  Turn from your fierce wrath and repent of this evil against your people.  Remember Abraham, Isaac and Israel your servants, to whom you did swear by your own self, saying ‘I will multiply your descendants as the stars of Heaven, and all this land that I have promised I will give to your descendants, and they shall inherit it forever”. Merciful God, remember that you did repented of the evil which you thought to do to your people.

Heavenly Father, now that your people have greatly multiplied the earth, having fulfilled your promise, forget not Israel.  See to it that everlasting peace be restored in Jerusalem.  Let your power be great as you have promised saying “the Lord is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, forgiving the iniquity of fathers upon children, upon the third and forth generations”.  Pardon the iniquity of your people, I pray you according to the greatness of your steadfast love, and according as you have forgiven from Egypt even unto now.

I, a gentile Veronica Wisdom Conteh, now pray for the salvation of Israel, for it is the power of God for salvation to every one who has faith, to the Jew first and also to the Greek (Rom 1: 16) For Israel being ignorant of the righteousness that God ascribes (which makes one acceptable to him in word, thought, and deed) and seeking to establish a righteousness of their own, they did not obey or submit themselves to God’s righteousness (Rom. 10:33).  So I ask have they stumbled so as to fall?  By no means! But through their trespass salvation has come to the gentiles, so as to make Israel Zealous.  Now if their  trespass means riches for the world, and their failure means riches for the gentiles, how much more will  their full inclusion mean!  For if their rejection means reconciliation of the world, what will their acceptance mean but life from death.  If the dough offered as first fruits is Holy, so is the whole lump; and if the root is holy, so are the branches.

So then  if for Israel’s trespass, salvation has come to the gentiles, their failure means reconciliation with the world, and if they as first fruits, being holy has made us holy, if we accept and pray for them, we will bring them life from death from above.  God has commanded us for this reason to pray for Israel that they might prosper.

For it is written, the Lord spoke to Abraham saying “I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse those who curse you and by you all the families of the earth shall bless themselves.  “Cursed be everyone who curses you and blessed be everyone who bless you”.  (Gen. 12:3, 2&:29 Num 24:1).  Pray for the peace of Jerusalem! May they prosper who love you.  (The Holy city).  Peace be within your walls and security within your towers.  “From where you are, look carefully in all directions.  I am going to give you many descendants that no one will be able to count them all; it will be as easy to count all the specks of the dust of the earth!” (Gen 13:14-16).  I promise to give your descendants all this land from the border of Egypt to the river Euphrates including the lands of the Kenites, the Kenizzites, the Kadmonites, the Hittites, the Perizzites, the Rephain, the Amorites, the Canaanites, and the Jebusites.  (Gen. 15:18-21).  “ I will make my covenant with you and give you many descendants.  I promise that you will be the ancestor of many nations.  I will keep my promise with you and your descendants in future generations as an everlasting covenant.   I will be your God and the God of your descendants.  I will give you and your descendants this land in which you are now a foreigner.   The whole land of Canaan will belong to your descendants forever and I will be their God”.  (Gen 17: 2,4,6,8).  “I make a vow by my own name the Lord is speaking, that I will richly bless you.  Because you did this and did not keep back your only son from me, I promise that I will give you as many descendants as there are the stars in the sky or sand along the seashore.  Your descendants will conquer their enemies.  All the nations will ask me to bless them as I have blessed your descendants, all because you obeyed my command”.

Indeed God has special love for Israel:  O Israel, you are holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his own possession out of all the people who are on the face of the earth.  The Lord did not set his love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the people on the face of the earth, for you were the fewest of all people, but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which he swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the land of Pharaoh king of Egypt.  (Deut. 7:6-8, 14: 2, 1st Chro. 17:7).

O Lord, will you please arise and have mercy and show your loving kindness towards Zion (Israel), for it is time to have pity and compassion for her; yes the set time has come (the moment designated).  Forget not that it is written Isa 62:1,2 “For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her vindication goes forth as brightness; and her salvation as a burning touch.  The nations shall see your vindication and the kings of your glory and you shall be called by a new name which the mouth of the Lord will give”.  Upon your walls O Jerusalem I have set watchmen; all the day and all the night they shall never be silent. You who put  the Lord in remembrance, take no rest, and give him no rest  until he establishes Jerusalem and makes it a praise in the earth”. Verse 6-7)

Indeed I am bound to love and pray for Israel.  For thus says the Lord to Israel:  All your lovers have forgotten you; they care nothing for you; for I have dealt you the  blow of an enemy, the punishment of a merciless foe because your guilt is great, because  your sins are flagrant”.

O Lord God Almighty, my heart ached at this  saying and felt guilty because I loved not Israel at first, for I did never understood what it meant to love and to pray for Israel.  Let your mercy and favour reach me so that I can continue to walk before you in obedience to your word.

Eternal God, I now lift my voice to put you in remembrance of your spoken word over Israel.  For thus it is written “But I had concern for my Holy name which the house of Israel caused to be profaned among the nations to which they came.  It is not for your sake, O house of Israel, that I am about to act, but for the sake of my holy name, which you have profaned among the nations to which you came.  And I will vindicate the Holiness of my great name, which has been profaned among the nations and which you have profaned among them and the nations will know that I am the Lord, says the Lord God, when through you I vindicate my holiness before their eyes.  For I will take you from the nations, and gather you from all the countries, and bring you into your own land.

I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean from all your uncleanness, and from all your idols I will cleanse you.  A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you and I will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh.  And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes and be careful to observe my ordinances.  You shall dwell in the land which I gave to your fathers; and you shall be my people and I will be your God.  And I will deliver you from all your uncleanness; and I will summon the grain and make it abundant, that  you may never again suffer the disgrace of famine among the nations; then you will remember your ways, and your deeds that were not good ; and you will   loathe yourselves for your iniquities and your abominable deeds.  It is not for your sake that I will act, says the Lord God; let that be known to you.  Be ashamed and confounded for your ways O house of Israel. (Eze. 36:21-28)

On the day that I cleanse you from all your iniquities, I will cause the cities to be inhabited, and the waste places shall be rebuilt.  And the land that was desolate shall be tilled, instead of being the desolation that it was in the site of all who passed by, and they will say, this land that was desolate has become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are now inhabited and fortified.  Then the nations that are left round about you  shall know that I, the Lord, have rebuilt the ruined places, and replanted that which was desolate; I the Lord have spoken, and I will do it”.  “In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches; and I will raise up the ruins, and I will build it in the days of old:  That they may posses the remnant of E-dom, and of all the heathen, which are called by my name.  Behold, the days come, that the ploughman shall overtake the reaper, and the trader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.  I will bring again the captivity of my people Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall make gardens, and eat of the fruit of them.  And I shall plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them”.  (Amos 9:11-15)

“I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of you; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Boz’-rah, as the flock in the midst of their fold: they shall make great noise by reason of the multitude of men”.  (Micah 2:12).

“I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called the city of truth; and the mountain of the Lord of hosts the holy mountain”.

“Behold I will save my people from the east country, and from the West country: and I will bring them and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness”.  “For your seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the  remnant of this people to posses all these things.  And it shall come to pass, that as you were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and you shall be a blessing:  Fear not but let your hands be strong..

“It shall come to pass, that there shall come people, and the inhabitants of many cities: and the inhabitants of one city shall go to another, saying, let us go speedily to pray before the Lord, and to seek the Lord of Hosts:  I will go also.  Yes, many people and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of Hosts in Jerusalem, and to pray before the Lord.  In those days it shall come to pass, that ten men shall take hold out of all languages of the nations, even shall take hold of the skirt of him that is a Jew, saying, we will go with you:  For we have heard that God is with you”.

Then said he again to Israel saying “Remember this and recall it to mind, you transgressors, remember the former things of old, for I am God, and there is no other, I am God and there is none like me; declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying “my counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose, calling a bird of prey from the east, the man of my counsel from a far country.  I have spoken and I will bring it to pass;  I have purposed and I will do it.  “Hearken unto me, you stubborn of heart, you who are far from deliverance:  I will bring near my deliverance, it is not far off, and my salvation will not tarry; I will put salvation in Zion, for Israel my  Glory”.  (Isa 46: 8-13) “Behold the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Judah, not like the covenant which I made with their fathers when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant which they  broke, though I was their husband.  But his is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord:  I will put my law within them, and I will write it upon their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.  And no longer shall each man teach his neighbour and each his brother saying know the Lord, for they shall all know me, from the feast of them to the greatest, says the Lord; for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more’.

“For I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.  Then you will call upon me, and I will hear you, you will seek me and find me; when you seek me with all your heart, I will be found by you, I will restore your fortunes and gather you from all the nations and all the places where I have driven you, I will bring you back to the place from which I sent you into exile”.  (Jeremiah 29:11-14)  “For behold the days are coming, when I will restore the fortunes of my people Israel and Judah.  I will  bring them back to the land which I gave to their fathers and they shall take possession of it.  (Jeremiah 30:3).
“And it shall come to pass in that day, says the Lord of hosts that I will break the yoke from off their neck, and I will burst their bonds and strangers shall no more make servants of them.  But they shall serve the Lord their God and David their King, whom I will raise up for them.

Then fear not, O Jacob my servant, nor be dismayed, O Israel, for Lo I will save you from afar, and your offspring from the land of their captivity.  Jacob shall return and have quiet and ease, and none shall make him afraid.  I am with you to save you.  (Jere. 308 –11)  “Behold I will restore the fortunes of the tents of Jacob and have compassion on his dwellings; the city shall be rebuilt upon its mound, and the palace shall stand where it used to be.  Out of them shall come songs of thanksgiving and the voices of those who make merry.  I will multiply them, and they shall not be few; I will make them honoured and they shall not be small.  Their children shall not be as they were of old, and their congregation shall be established before me; and I will punish those who oppress them”.  (Jeremiah 30:18-20).

“For the sons of Israel will remain for many days without a king or prince, without sacrifice or sacred pillar, and without ephod or household idols.  Afterward the sons of Israel will return and seek the Lord and to his goodness in the last days.   (Hosea 3:3-5) “I will also plant them in their land, and they will not again be rooted from their land which I have given them, says the Lord our God”.   (Amos 9:15)  “This also I will let the house of Israel ask me to do for them:  To increase their men like a flock, like the flock for sacrifices, like the flock at Jerusalem during her appointed feasts, so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men, then they will know that I am the Lord God.

Almighty Father, I pray that you cause their men to increase like the flock at Jerusalem during their appointed feasts, so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men and your name will be glorified.  But if the land that you have given them by  your word has been occupied by their enemies strengthen their hands for war and give them the power to root them out if they refuse to leave.  Oppress those who oppress them, let the land of Israel and all it borders reject all illegal occupants, let the earth write an end to all those who want to bring wickedness upon your people.  In the name of Jesus, I dismantle every program programmed in the heaven lies,  (the sun, moon and stars) against your people.

I now therefore declare as a covenant child to the heavenlies: “From this day henceforth, if I be a woman of God, before whom I stand, you heavenlies shall not perform any work for witches and witchcrafts, nor stargazers, procrastinators, sorcerers, or diviners but, you  shall rule and work according to the plan of God for his children.

“Ascend this mountain of Abarim, mount Nebo, which is in the land of Moab, opposite Nebo which is in the land of Moab opposite Jericho; and view the land of Canaan, which I give to the people of Israel for a possession”.  Eternal God, cause Israel to posses their possessions and to inherit their inheritance.  That you may establish Jerusalem, for you made the earth, the Lord God who formed it.  (Jeremiah 33:2).  Let the dew of heaven rain everlasting peace in Jerusalem and all its borders.  O Lord let every of your spoken word be fulfilled in the lives of your children.

And I will praise the name of our God of Israel with a song I will magnify him with a voice of thanksgiving.  This will please the Lord more than an ox, or bull with horns and hoofs.
Let the oppressed see it and be glad; you who seek God let your hearts revive.  For the Lord hears the needy and does not despise his own that are in bounds.  Let heaven and earth praise him, the seas and everything that moves therein.  For God will save Israel and rebuild the cities of Judah, and his servants shall be there and posses it; the children of his servants shall inherit it, and those who love His name shall dwell in it in Jesus name.

O Lord, God of Israel,  creator of the heavens and the earth, there is no God like you in heaven above or on the earth beneath, keeping covenant and showing steadfast love to your servants who walk before you with all their heart; who hast kept with your servant David, my forefather what you did declare to him, yea, you did speak with your mouth, and your hand has fulfilled it this day.  Now therefore, O Lord, God of Israel, keep with your servant David (our forefather) and his descendants what you have promised him saying “there shall never fail you a man before me to sit upon the throne of Israel, if only your sons take heed to their way, to walk for me as you have walked  before me”.  Now therefore O God of Israel, let your word be confirmed which you have spoken to your servant David my forefather.

“But will God indeed dwell on the earth?  Behold heaven and the highest heaven cannot contain you how much less the entire lands of Israel!  Yet have regard to the prayer of your servant and to her supplication.  O Lord my God, hearken to the cry and to the prayer which I, your servant prays before you this day; that your eyes maybe opened night and day toward your people, the land of Israel, the place of which you have said “my name shall be there”.  That you may hearken to the prayer which your servant offers towards heaven.  And hearken to the supplication which I make before you.  And for your people Israel, when they pray; hear in heaven your dwelling; and when you hear forgive.

When your people Israel are defeated before the enemy because they have sinned, if they acknowledge your name, and pray and make supplication to you in their homes; then hear from above and forgive the sin of your people Israel, and bring them again to the land which you gave to their fathers.

When Heaven is shut up and there is no rain because they have sinned against you, if they pray and acknowledge your name, and return from their sin, when thou dost teach them the good way in which they should walk grant rain upon the land, which thou hast given to thy people as an inheritance.

If there is famine in the land, if there is pestilence or blight or mildew or locust or caterpillar; If their enemy besieges them in any way of their cities; what ever plague, whatever sickness there is, whatever prayer, whatever supplication is made by any man or by all the people of Israel, each knowing the affiliation of his own heart and stretching out his hands toward you; then hear in heaven your dwelling place, and forgive, and act and render to each whose heart thou knowest according to all his ways (for thou only knowest the hearts of all the children of men) that they may fear you all the days that they live in the land which thou gavest to our fathers.

Likewise when a foreigner, who is not  of your people Israel, comes from a far country for your name sake (for they shall hear of your great name, and your mighty hand, and your outstretched arm), when he comes and prays, hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place and do according to all for which the foreigner calls to you, in order that all the peoples of the earth may know your name and fear you as do thy people Israel, and that they may know that you alone is the God Almighty.

If your people go out to battle against their enemy by whatever way thou shall send them, and thou hast chosen if they cry to you in heaven hear their prayer and their supplication, and maintain their cause.

If they sin against you -  for there is no man who doesn’t sin - and thou art angry with them and dost give them to an enemy, so that they maybe carried away captive to the land of the enemy, far off or near; yet if they lay it to heart  in the land to which they have been carried captive, and repent, and make supplication to you in the land of their captors, saying “we have sinned, and have acted perversely and wickedly; if they repent with all their mind and with all their heart in the land of their enemies, who carried  them captive, and pray to you towards their land, which you gave to their fathers, the city which thou has chosen, then hear in heaven your dwelling place their prayer and their supplication and maintain their cause and forgive your people who have sinned against you and all their transgression which they have committed against you and grant them compassion in the sight of those who carried them captive, that they may have compassion on them (for they are your people and your heritage, which you brought out of Egypt, from the midst of iron furnace).  Let thy eyes be open to the supplication of your servant, and to the supplication of your  people Israel giving ear to them whenever they call to you.  For thou didst separate them from among all the peoples of the earth, to be your heritage, as declared through Moses, your servant, when thou didst bring our fathers out of Egypt, O Lord God.

Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised; not one word has failed of all His good promise, which he uttered by Moses his servant.  May the Lord our God be with Israel, as he was with our forefathers, may he not leave them or forsake them; that he may incline their hearts to him, to walk in all his ways and keep his commandments.  His statues, and his ordinances which he commanded our forefathers.  Let these words of mine, where with I have made supplication before you, be near to you O Lord my God day and night, and may you maintain my cause and the cause of your people Israel as each day requires; that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God; there is no other.  Let their heart therefore be wholly true to the Lord our God, walking in his statues and keeping his commandment as at this day.  This I ask the father in Jesus name Amen!
